Modemaking is a embedded into the design industry in the UK, and is an integral part of british engineering, product design and architecture. It is at the forfront when it comes to new technologies and new materials.
The models which are shown below were made at Glenn Howells Architects, when I was heading up the modelmaking department. At it’s peak, involved 5 modelmakers, x2 3D printers, x1 lasercutter, a sprayshop, and woodshop. We strived to make presentation quality models, in a sketch design timeframe, sometimes with pre-concept information.
